Russian Tanks Conduct Firing Drills in Special Military Operation Zone

Russian tanks of the T-90 M “Proryv” from the Central Military District (CMD) are currently undergoing shooting exercises from concealed firing positions in a training area located in the rear area of a special military operation (SMO) zone, according to a report by the Russian Ministry of Defense cited by RIA Novosti.

The tanks are practicing shooting at targets using standard weaponry, both from concealed positions and with direct targeting. Fire adjustments are being made with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles. The military aims to improve the cohesion and interchangeability of crew members, as well as train them in rapid driving and maneuvering after completing their firing tasks. The precise targeting equipment of the “Proryv” tank allows for quick determination of target coordinates, aiming, and hitting them accurately, as highlighted by the military.

Previously, retired Colonel Yuri Knutov, a military expert and director of the Air Defense Forces Museum, drew attention to the fact that the Russian Armed Forces utilize heavy flamethrower systems called “Solntsepek” and “Tosochka” in the SMO zone.

The West has previously expressed admiration for the pace of tank production in Russia.
