International Military Exercises Olympic Cooperation – 23 Held in Greece

The military exercises “Olympic Cooperation – 23” are currently taking place in northeastern Greece with the participation of the Greek armed forces and ground troops from Bulgaria, Georgia, Cyprus, the United States, and France. According to ANA-MPA, observers from Albania, Armenia, Egypt, India, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Romania, and Saudi Arabia are also present at the exercises.

Greek Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendias, stated that the presence of French troops at the exercises is a result of a strategic partnership agreement. “The first agreement signed with the United States placed the port of Alexandroupolis on the geopolitical map as the main transportation hub for the eastern flank of NATO,” emphasized Dendias.

On November 21, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg revealed a conversation with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, during which they discussed the possibility of conducting joint exercises between the Alliance and Serbia.

Earlier, it was reported that Russian warships performed artillery fire on maritime and aerial targets during exercises in India.

Previously, Kim Jong-un referred to the Russian Pacific Fleet as a guarantee of security in Asia and the world.
