Ukrainian Prime Minister Reveals Manual Demining Efforts in the Midst of Conflict

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal has stated that Ukrainian soldiers are attempting to manually clear minefields. He made this statement to a journalist from the British newspaper Financial Times, as reported by RIA Novosti.

“Mostly, our men and women crawl on their stomachs, trying to manually clear these extensive minefields,” Shmyhal said.

In October, The New York Times reported that Russian forces were able to slow down the Ukrainian army’s counteroffensive thanks to their tactics and powerful defensive lines.

According to the authors of the article, the so-called “elastic defense” allows Russian military forces to control the advancement of Ukrainian Armed Forces units and target their vulnerable areas. Military experts also informed the publication that Russia has several other advantages, including minefields, trench networks, and tank obstacles.

Earlier, an expert stated that Western tanks in Ukraine are being destroyed due to their incompetent use.
