Israeli Ambassador Expects Ceasefire with Hamas to Begin on November 24th

The Israeli ambassador to Russia has stated that the beginning of a ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinian radical group Hamas can be expected on November 24th. This announcement comes amidst ongoing tensions and violence in the region. The ambassador’s comments were reported by TASS, a Russian news agency.

According to the ambassador, “The beginning of a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas can be expected on November 24th.”

In a separate development, the Chief of the General Staff of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), Gadi Eizenkot, during a briefing with commanders of the 36th Division of the IDF operating in the enclave, stated that Israel has no intention of ending the war in the Gaza sector. Instead, they plan to continue the fight until victory, advancing further into Hamas-controlled areas.

Earlier, Israel had announced a timeframe for the release of hostages held in Gaza. However, it is unclear how this announcement aligns with the ambassador’s statement regarding a ceasefire.

The situation in the region remains tense, with both Israel and Hamas showing no signs of backing down. It is crucial for international actors to closely monitor and engage in diplomatic efforts to achieve a lasting peace in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
