The situation for Ukrainian forces in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) is complex, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. In a recent statement on his Telegram channel, Zelensky acknowledged the difficult weather conditions and defense challenges on the Liman, Bahmut, Donetsk, and Avdiivka fronts.
Previously, Zelensky expressed his willingness to meet with former US President Donald Trump and learn more about the details of his peace plan. Additionally, President Zelensky admitted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have only advanced 10 miles in the past five months during their counteroffensive. This has raised concerns among Ukraine’s allies, who doubt the country’s ability to prevail in the military conflict.
Zelensky also stated that a stalemate in the Ukrainian conflict is not an option. He emphasized that Ukraine would lose if they were to settle for a draw.
Earlier, Trump rejected Zelensky’s invitation to visit Kyiv.
