Ukraine’s Air Force Maintains Alert Status Amidst Reports of Missile-Carrying MiG-31s

The Ukrainian Air Force has announced that there will be no changes to the alert status during the takeoff of MiG-31s, which are capable of carrying hypersonic missile systems known as “Kinzhal.” In an interview with “Ukrainian Radio,” Yuriy Ignat, the spokesperson for the Ukrainian Army’s Air Force Command, stated that they have not received any instructions on how to inform the population in the event of MiG-31 takeoffs. Sometimes, there is information that the MiG takes off with a missile, sometimes without one, and sometimes there is no such information at all.

Ignat emphasized the need to avoid taking unnecessary risks. He also highlighted that the Ukrainian Air Force will continue to announce danger in the event of a missile attack, during tactical aviation operations, and when using strike unmanned aerial vehicles and rocket artillery systems. The notification procedure for the population will remain unchanged, according to Ignat.

Previously, despite the army’s difficult situation, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke out against engaging in peace negotiations with the Russian Federation.

Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine officially introduced the term “rashism.”
