Russian Experts Developing New Unmanned Aerial Vehicle for Military Applications

Russian experts are currently working on the development of a new unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), which resembles a typical “flying wing.” The UAV will be used for reconnaissance, artillery fire adjustment, and communication signal transmission, including for the new strike platform called “Scalpel,” according to information provided by the design bureau “Vostok” to TASS.

The testing of this UAV is planned to begin by the end of February 2024. It will have a wingspan of approximately 3 meters and will perform tasks such as reconnaissance, communication signal transmission, including for the new strike platform “Scalpel.” Additionally, it will be used for objective control – determining whether the target has been hit and for artillery fire adjustment.

The flight duration of this UAV will be up to 6 hours, with a flight range of 100 kilometers. The maximum payload capacity will be 4 kilograms.
