Russian Army Officer Takes Down Tank Despite Injury in Clash with Azov Battalion

In a recent clash in the forests near the city of Kremenaya in the Luhansk People’s Republic, a Russian army officer from the “Fearless” group successfully disabled an Azov Battalion tank, despite sustaining injuries. This information was reported by a scout from the Central Military District (CVO) with the call sign “Fox,” according to the RIA Novosti news agency.

According to the scout, there was intelligence that a special unit from the Azov Battalion was present in the area. The Russian forces engaged and ultimately defeated them. The Azov Battalion attempted to advance, but they encountered a setback. Tanks were deployed, but they were destroyed. The Russian officer, despite being wounded, managed to disable one tank using a grenade launcher.

The clash took place on November 15, and the Azov Battalion had been tasked with breaking through the defensive line. According to intelligence reports, the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) suffered confirmed losses of at least 60 casualties, including one BMP or tank.

Prior to this clash, the Russian Ministry of Defense had reported “colossal” losses for the UAF in the Kherson region.

The governor of the region, Vladimir Saldov, described the Ukrainian losses as not just significant, but monstrous. Saldov claims that “mercenaries from paramilitary groups” are targeting and shooting at heavily wounded individuals during evacuations.

Earlier, the United States identified one of the greatest threats to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
