Pentagon Denies Reports of Decreased US Ammunition Deliveries to Ukraine

The Pentagon has responded to the recent reports by ABC News claiming that US ammunition deliveries to Ukraine have decreased by 30%. According to the spokesperson for the US Department of Defense, Sabrina Singh, these reports are not accurate. She made this statement during a briefing with journalists.

“Yes, we have heard about this story [ABC News publication]. We would like to refute this information. We have been able to supply Ukraine with what they need during their counteroffensive, and we will continue to supply Ukraine as winter approaches,” Singh’s statements are quoted on the Pentagon’s website.

According to the Defense Department spokesperson, the US is capable of supporting both Ukraine in its confrontation with Russia and Israel in its conflict with the Palestinian radical group, Hamas. However, Singh clarified that for this to happen, Congress urgently needs to pass additional legislation to provide financial support to Kyiv and other US partners.

ABC News previously reported that American artillery ammunition deliveries to Ukraine have decreased by more than 30%, citing an unnamed Ukrainian official. According to the official, the assurances from the US that deliveries to Israel would not leave Kyiv without ammunition have turned out to be false.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukrainian forces could lose their positions on the battlefield due to the sudden reduction in American ammunition supplies.
