Ukrainian Armed Forces Face Technical Challenges as Western Equipment Deteriorates

The Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) are experiencing issues with the technical condition of the equipment supplied by Western countries. This information was reported by retired Lieutenant Colonel Andrey Marochko of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR), citing his own sources, to RIA Novosti.

According to Marochko, the problems with the equipment are a result of prolonged and intensive use of weapons and military technology, as well as inadequate technical maintenance.

“A significant amount of armored vehicles and artillery pieces have started to malfunction. More than 60% of the armored transporters have reached their engine life and are in need of major repairs,” he said.

The expert also highlighted that due to barrel wear, most artillery installations are unable to accurately fire. Marochko emphasized that a large number of repair bases and specialists are required to maintain the entire range of supplied equipment and weaponry, which the Ukrainian Armed Forces lack.

Previously, Andrey Marochko stated that the UAF composition in the Serebryansk Forest area is experiencing irreparable losses.

Earlier, in the United States, the counteroffensive of the UAF was recognized as a failure.
