Florida Man Arrested for Assault with Leaf Blower Following Car Crash

A Florida man, Patrick Eittson, was taken into custody after allegedly attacking another man with a leaf blower following a fender bender, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred on Saturday morning when deputies were called to the scene of a car crash. The victim claimed that he was trying to use his GPS while driving, causing his work truck to collide with a trailer attached to another truck, which then hit a parked vehicle.

In a fit of anger, Eittson, described as “irate” by deputies, emerged from his home armed with a leaf blower. He proceeded to slam the leaf blower into the hood of the victim’s truck. When the victim opened the door to his truck, Eittson continued his assault by striking him with the leaf blower instead of calming down as requested.

During his arrest, Eittson denied directly hitting the victim with the leaf blower, but admitted to striking the hood of the work truck. He was subsequently taken to the Lake County Jail and is currently being held on a $26,000 bond.

This incident highlights the escalating aggression in car-related disputes and the potential dangers that can arise from such conflicts. It serves as a reminder for individuals to exercise restraint and seek peaceful resolutions when faced with confrontations on the road.
