Yemeni Houthi rebels have issued a warning that they will target all civilian ships flying the Israeli flag within their reach. The leader of the Shiite movement, Ansar Allah, Yahya Saria, made this announcement in a Telegram channel.
“The Yemeni armed forces declare that they will target all the following types of ships,” the publication stated.
The list of maritime vessels includes ships with Israeli flags and vessels operated by or belonging to Israeli companies.
Saria called on all countries to evacuate their citizens working on the crews of these ships, suspend transportation on such vessels, and stay away from Yemen.
Earlier in the United States, it was reported that the Houthis shot down an American MQ-9 drone near Yemen.
