The latest Russian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) called “Lancet” are becoming more dangerous for the Ukrainian army on the front lines, according to an article by American magazine Business Insider.
The article states that the “Lancet” has found a way to bypass Ukrainian defenses.
According to the authors, the range and power of these new UAVs are constantly being upgraded.
The publication highlights a video showing a Russian UAV targeting an American infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) Bradley, demonstrating how this weapon has been adapted to bypass the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defenses.
According to the magazine, the upgraded “Lancets” explode in the air, releasing an “explosive core” just a few meters from the intended target. As a result, the drones can strike opponent’s vehicles without direct contact.
Previously, the Russian Armed Forces used the “Lancet” kamikaze drone in nighttime special operations.
Earlier, Ukraine expressed admiration for Russian electronic warfare systems.
