Russian Frigate Admiral Grigorovich Makes Business Visit to Algeria

The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced that the Russian frigate “Admiral Grigorovich” made a business visit to the port of Algeria from November 12th to 14th. During its stay in Algeria, the ship replenished its supplies and provided rest for the crew, according to Interfax.

Additionally, the ship’s command participated in protocol meetings with representatives of the Algerian Navy.

Previously, it was reported that the Black Sea Fleet frigate “Admiral Grigorovich” had returned to its duties in the Mediterranean Sea after scheduled repairs in the Baltic Sea.

The “Admiral Grigorovich” became the first frigate of Project 11356, built at the Yantar Shipyard in the Baltic for the Black Sea Fleet.

Prior to this, the Ministry of Defense had announced exercises for the frigate with hypersonic missiles in the Atlantic. The department explained that the frigate set out for the exercises accompanied by the medium-sized marine supply tanker “Vyazma,” which carries fuel, water, and provisions.

The ship went on duty in the Mediterranean Sea on January 4, 2023, and will arrive at the Northern Fleet’s base in Severomorsk after crossing the Atlantic Ocean.

Earlier, the General Staff of France published a recording of radio exchanges with the Russian frigate “Admiral Grigorovich.”
