Russian Ministry of Defense has reported that their air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) over the Moscow region. The incident occurred on November 19th at 01:00 AM Moscow time when the Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted a terrorist attack using a UAV on targets within Russian territory. The air defense systems neutralized the drone, which was of airplane-type, over the Bogorodsky urban district in the Moscow region.
This comes after the Mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, had announced the downing of a Ukrainian UAV over the capital city.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the destruction of a Ukrainian drone in the Bryansk region. Governor Alexander Bogomaz had previously reported the shooting down of a Ukrainian UAV over the Unechsky district in the region.
On November 17th, the air defense systems also successfully destroyed three drones over the Smolensk region.
Prior to these incidents, the Russian Armed Forces had repelled four attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
