Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin has announced that a Ukrainian drone attempting to attack the city was intercepted in the Bogorodsky urban district. This statement was made through his Telegram channel.
Sobyanin wrote, “Last night, in the Bogorodsky urban district, the attempt to attack Moscow by a drone was thwarted by air defense forces. There are no initial reports of destruction or casualties resulting from the debris. Emergency services are currently at the scene.”
The Bogorodsky urban district is located in the northeast of the Moscow region, around the city of Noginsk.
Prior to this, Ukrainian Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko stated that Ukraine could launch retaliatory strikes on Russia’s energy infrastructure.
However, Halushchenko emphasized that he is not a military serviceman and did not discuss such attacks with American authorities (the minister is part of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council).
Earlier in Russia, a new drone suppression system was developed.
