The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have announced a successful interception of a rocket launched from Lebanese territory using their air defense system. This development was reported by the IDF’s press office through their Telegram channel.
According to the publication, the IDF’s air defense system effectively intercepted a surface-to-air missile during the incident. The rocket had been launched from Lebanon towards an Israeli unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
The press office clarified that earlier air alarm signals in northern Israel were triggered due to the launch of rocket interceptors and not specifically identifying the rocket itself.
Yesterday, the IDF revealed that they had targeted a terrorist cell in Lebanon, which had planned to launch anti-tank missiles into Israeli territory.
Prior to this, IDF soldiers had struck individuals attempting to launch anti-tank missiles from Lebanese territory into Israel.
Earlier, Hamas had destroyed over 200 units of Israeli military equipment in Gaza.
