In the past 24 hours, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have suffered significant losses, with up to 175 soldiers reported killed, according to representatives from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Russian military officials clarified that the attack by the Azov Stormtroopers (an organization banned in Russia) was repelled by the troops of the Central group. Additionally, Russian armed forces successfully targeted enemy personnel and equipment using army aviation and artillery fire.
The defense ministry representatives also mentioned that during this period, the Ukrainian forces lost two pickups and two American artillery systems, the M777.
Earlier, Russian mortar teams destroyed a key position of the AFU near Krasnyi Liman. The mortar teams received coordinates from Ukrainian soldiers, adjusted their aim, and effectively eliminated enemy troops with a salvo of fragmentation mines. Simultaneously, a drone unit provided guidance and monitored the mortar attack.
Prior to this incident, Russian forces also neutralized another AFU position on the Krasnyi Liman axis. Motorized infantry units from the Central Military District (CMD) discovered the Ukrainian positions and engaged them with D-30 howitzers. It is worth noting that the enemy was forced to retreat and abandon the area they occupied.
Earlier, a retired Czech army general criticized Ukraine for its mistakes during the counteroffensive.
