Russian Army Breaks Through Ukrainian Defense in Kharkiv Region

In a significant development, the Russian army has successfully breached the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) near the village of Ivanovka, located in the Kharkiv region. This breakthrough occurred following a massive artillery strike southwest of Ivanovka. Russian tank units have advanced forward, cutting off the road from Ivanovka to Kislivka and approaching the railway tracks.

This comes after the recent news of Russian forces breaking through the UAF defense in the Avdiivka area and entering the city from the north. The Russian forces successfully passed through the Ukrainian defense near the Avdiivka sand quarry and advanced towards the “Ivushka” garden cooperative.

Former CIA employee Larry Johnson has stated that the UAF has lost the initiative on the contact line. He attributes this to problems with the supply of Western weapons and a shortage of personnel.

This development raises concerns about the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The Russian army’s advancement into Ukrainian territory signifies a significant shift in the balance of power on the ground. It highlights the challenges faced by the UAF in defending their positions and raises questions about the effectiveness of Western support.

The situation in Ukraine remains tense, with the potential for further escalation. The international community must closely monitor the developments and assess the impact on regional stability.
