A fire broke out on the premises of a military base in the Volgograd region, according to the region’s governor, Andrey Bocharov, as reported by TASS.
The incident occurred near the village of Kotluban. The fire was promptly extinguished by the regional fire service, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the Ministry of Defense.
Governor Bocharov reassured that there were no casualties or damage to civilian objects as a result of the fire. The circumstances surrounding the fire are currently being investigated.
In a separate incident reported by Shot, an elderly woman in Zhigulevsk, Samara region, threw a bottle containing an incendiary mixture into a military commissariat building on the evening of November 15.
Last week, it was reported that two individuals were detained in the Moscow region for trespassing on the premises of a military base and attempting sabotage. Criminal proceedings have been initiated against them.
Earlier, it was reported that a pensioner in the Urals region planned to set fire to a draft board, but narrowly avoided causing a fire in a polyclinic.
