Governor Vladimir Saldo of the Kherson region in Ukraine has reported that Russian Armed Forces have unleashed a “firestorm” on Ukrainian troops in the village of Krynyky, located on the left bank of the Dnieper River, where Ukrainian units have been attempting to land. Saldo shared this information through his Telegram channel.
“The enemy is trapped in Krynyky, facing a barrage of bombs, rockets, heavy artillery shells, and unmanned aerial vehicles. They are hiding in basements and crossing one by one at night. In the past two to three days alone, the enemy has suffered approximately a hundred casualties,” Saldo writes.
The governor explained that the area around Krynyky, after the explosion at the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station, has become a marshy and impassable terrain.
Earlier, Governor Vladimir Saldo of the Kherson region stated that groups of 2 to 13 Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers surrender to the Russian army every day near Krynyky.
Previously, three Ukrainian soldiers swam across the Dnieper River and surrendered to the Russian Armed Forces.
