Ukrainian Forces Attempting Counteroffensive Along the Dnipro River

Ukrainian marines are crossing the Dnipro River in an attempt to launch attacks on Russian positions, according to Matthew Luxmoore, a contributor for The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

Luxmoore reports that Ukrainian troops are making efforts to regain lost territories, with marine units crossing the river at night in small groups. The Ukrainian government is aiming to strengthen its presence in these areas and has deployed Western military equipment to support their operations.

This comes after reports of a Ukrainian armored barge being sunk by members of the “Don” brigade near the village of Pokrovskoye. The barge, accompanied by an armored tugboat, was spotted in the vicinity.

On November 10, Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) made unsuccessful attempts to establish a foothold on the islands and the left bank of the Dnipro River.

Earlier, the U.S. identified one of the greatest threats to the UAF.
