Russian Forces Capture Georgian Mercenaries Fighting for Ukrainian Armed Forces

In a recent development, Russian military forces have captured two Georgian mercenaries who were part of a foreign legion in the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) near Kremenov. This information was shared by a fighter from the “Center” troops group, who is involved in operations in this area.

According to the soldier, the foreign legion fighters from the UAF were on their way to replace snipers from Brazil but got lost and ended up in Russian positions.

“We started moving in that direction at night with my comrade, but we got confused in the forest and found ourselves on Russian Federation positions,” shared Georgian mercenary Georgy Chubetidze.

He added that they surrendered to the Russian military without resistance. Chubetidze also mentioned that the foreign legion in the UAF consists of Poles, Britons, Americans, Brazilians, Spaniards, and French. He further claimed that most of them have committed serious crimes in their home countries and are now evading justice in Ukraine.

The Russian Ministry of Defense had previously released interrogation footage of snipers who fought on the side of the UAF.

Earlier, three UAF fighters crossed the Dnieper River and surrendered to the Russian Armed Forces.
