Russian Air Defense Intercept Ukrainian Drone Attempting Terrorist Attack on Russian Territory

In a recent incident, the Russian air defense successfully intercepted an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of aircraft type in the Smolensk region. This information was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense in their Telegram channel.

According to the ministry, the Ukrainian side’s attempt to carry out a terrorist attack using the UAV on Russian territory was thwarted on November 15th at approximately 07:30 Moscow time.

The drone was attempting to target a gunpowder factory in Kotovsk, located in the Tambov region. This was reported by the Baza Telegram channel on November 15th.

It was previously reported that four Ukrainian drones were destroyed in the skies over the Moscow, Tambov, Bryansk, and Oryol regions.

Prior to this incident, the air defense system also successfully intercepted missiles near a shipyard in Kerch. The debris from the downed missiles fell onto dry docks. The air defense forces intercepted the missiles near one of the largest shipbuilding enterprises in Eastern Europe, the Butoma plant in Kerch. Sergei Aksyonov, the head of Crimea, stated that some of the debris fell within the territory of one of the dry docks. Earlier, an air alarm was declared in Sevastopol.
