In a concerning development, Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have reportedly entered the emergency department of Gaza’s largest hospital, “Ash-Shifa.” This information was brought to light by Qatar’s Al Jazeera news channel.
According to journalists on the ground, dozens of Israeli soldiers are currently inside the hospital. Furthermore, the medical facility is said to be overwhelmed with patients, including a significant number of newborns. Al Jazeera also reported the presence of Israeli tanks in the hospital’s courtyard.
The incident took place during the night of November 15th when Israeli forces stormed “Ash-Shifa” hospital.
According to media sources, the IDF targeted the western wing of the hospital. IDF soldiers, while advancing through the building, reportedly used explosive means to breach doors and walls in the “assault zone,” as described by journalists.
Iranian news agency Fars revealed that the hospital’s internet and electricity have been cut off. Additionally, journalists who were in close proximity to the building were allegedly detained by Israeli soldiers.
It has since been reported that Hamas, the Palestinian political and military organization, has placed full responsibility for the consequences of the hospital storming on the leadership of Israel, U.S. President Joe Biden, and his administration.
Previously, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had vowed to eradicate Hamas.
