Israeli Army Announces Temporary Ceasefire in Gaza Strip

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have once again declared a ceasefire in the northern sector of the Gaza Strip. The pause will last for four hours, from 11:00 to 15:00 Moscow time, as announced by IDF spokesperson Avihai Edri on his social media page, X (previously Twitter).

“Today, we will temporarily halt combat operations for the day in the areas of Es-Salam and En-Nur in Jabalia,” noted Edri.

He emphasized that the humanitarian corridor for the evacuation of residents in the northern regions of the Gaza Strip will once again be operational until 17:00 Moscow time. The IDF representative clarified that the route will pass through Salah ad-Din Road to the south of the enclave. According to him, Hamas has lost control over the northern part of Gaza. Edri urged residents to report if militants attempt to obstruct their path to evacuation.

On November 13, Israel had already announced a pause in combat operations in the Gaza Strip. Prior to that, Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh had called for the opening of a maritime humanitarian corridor between Cyprus and the Gaza Strip.

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had promised to destroy Hamas.
