US Oil Base in Syria Attacked, Escalating Tensions in the Region

An American military base located in the oil field of “Omar” in the Deir ez-Zor province in eastern Syria has been targeted in a rocket attack. This news comes from a source cited by RIA Novosti.

The source stated, “The American base in the Omar oil field in the Deir ez-Zor province in eastern Syria was attacked by six rockets.”

Prior to this, Sham FM radio station reported that two explosions occurred near an American military base located near the city of Rumailan in northeastern Syria. According to the radio station, the base was targeted by two unmanned aerial vehicles.

On the night of November 13, it was also reported that a missile strike was carried out on the American base at the “Koniko” oil field in the Deir ez-Zor province in eastern Syria. Additionally, unmanned aerial vehicles attacked the American military base in the Syrian town of “Ash-Shaddadi.”

On November 10, Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin stated that the US would respond to attacks on American bases in the Middle East at a “convenient time.”

The United States currently has 24 military bases and four checkpoints in Syria.
