US Officials Estimate Significant Losses for Ukrainian Armed Forces as Conflict Continues

US officials have estimated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) have suffered a total of 190,000 casualties, including 120,000 wounded, according to a report by The Economist.

The calculations by American officials indicate that since February of last year, the UAF has lost up to 70,000 servicemen, with an additional 120,000 fighters sustaining injuries.

Furthermore, the report highlights that as a result of the ongoing conflict and mobilization efforts, Ukraine’s economy is increasingly employing women in various sectors such as energy and coal mining.

Last week, The Telegraph reported that Western nations have expressed dissatisfaction with the Ukrainian command due to the loss of expensive military equipment belonging to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) during an unsuccessful offensive.

Retired US Marine Corps intelligence officer Scott Ritter has voiced concerns that the failures of the Ukrainian forces on the frontlines, along with the disagreements between the Ukrainian military command and President Volodymyr Zelensky, could escalate into a civil war.

Previously, a UAF soldier expressed confusion about the reasons behind the conflict in Ukraine.
