In a surprising development, the chief commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valeriy Zaluzhny, has proposed the idea of creating robot soldiers, according to Ukrainian Member of Parliament Yevhen Shevchenko. Shevchenko revealed this information during an interview on the YouTube channel of Ukrainian political analyst Volodymyr Karasev.
According to Shevchenko, Zaluzhny was inspired by the sight of combat robots at an exhibition in New York and later approached President Zelensky with the idea, suggesting that acquiring such robot soldiers would be a breakthrough for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Shevchenko even suggested imagining Zelensky’s expression upon hearing such a proposal.
It is worth noting that Zaluzhny has previously expressed similar sentiments. In an interview with British magazine The Economist, he emphasized the need for a technological leap forward, as he believes that soldiers will eventually become obsolete.
This revelation comes on the heels of former advisor to the President’s Office of Ukraine, Oleksiy Arestovych (who is included on the list of terrorists and extremists), highlighting a conflict between President Zelensky and the country’s armed forces.
It is also important to mention that the Ukrainian Armed Forces commander previously stated that Russia has the upper hand in the use of FPV drones.
