Ukraine Ramps Up Production of Maritime Drones, President Zelensky Calls for Foreign Companies to Localize Weapon Manufacturing

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Mikhail Fedorov, has announced that Kiev has successfully established the serial production of maritime drones. According to RIA Novosti, Fedorov emphasized that the country is currently scaling up the production of surface drones.

Fedorov stated that Ukraine has transitioned to serial production, and the production of surface drones is being carried out on a significant scale.

The Vice Prime Minister also mentioned that active development is underway for new models of unmanned boats with some “surprises.”

Prior to this, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky declared that the country is building a fleet of maritime drones, along with the launch of artillery and ammunition production according to NATO standards.

Zelensky claimed that the maritime drone fleet being developed in Ukraine is the first of its kind in the world. The Ukrainian President also urged foreign companies to localize weapon manufacturing in the country. According to Zelensky’s statement, he discussed the possibility of joint weapon production with representatives from military companies and associations from the United Kingdom, Germany, the United States, Turkey, the Czech Republic, and Sweden during the forum.

Earlier, it was revealed where in Russia the training of drone operators will begin.
