Russian state-owned corporation Rostec has recently showcased its latest lineup of advanced parachute systems at the international Dubai Airshow 2023, according to a press release published on November 14.
The showcased parachute systems include the “Dalnolyet,” “Berkut 2,” and “Tandem-400,” as well as cargo delivery systems.
The “Dalnolyet” parachute system is designed for the airdrop of special forces with their full gear and weaponry. It can achieve a range of 60 kilometers when deployed from an altitude of 8 kilometers, taking into account the wind direction.
The “Berkut-2” parachute system features the capability to attach a cargo container weighing up to 50 kilograms, allowing for airdrops of equipment and necessary supplies alongside armed personnel.
The “Tandem-400” system enables training jumps, pairing an experienced parachutist with a novice.
The robotic system “Yunker-DG-250” utilizes GLONASS navigation to ensure the precise landing of cargo weighing up to 250 kilograms within a 100-meter accuracy.
On November 13, it was reported that Rostec had noticed an increased interest in Russian military technology abroad.
Earlier, Rostec had highlighted the enhanced combat capabilities of the Su-57 fighter jet.
