In a recent development, the Russian army’s aviation unit from the Central Group of Forces has launched attacks on the Ukrainian Special Forces brigade called “Azov” (an organization banned in Russia) in the Krasnolimansk direction. This information was shared by Alexander Savchuk, the head of the press center of the Central Group of Forces, with RIA Novosti.
According to Savchuk, the actions of the units of the Central Group of Forces and artillery fire successfully repelled the attacks by assault groups from two mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF). Additionally, the aviation unit of the Russian army in the Serebryansky forestry area inflicted damage on the units of the 12th Special Forces Brigade “Azov” and the 15th Regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine.
In the areas of Yampl, Torskoe, Grigorovka, and Kirovsk, the Russian artillery struck approximately 170 enemy targets, while heavy flamethrower systems TOC-1A “Solntsepek” targeted two areas where enemy personnel and equipment were concentrated.
Savchuk revealed that the enemy suffered losses of around 150 servicemen, and Russian fighters also destroyed a Ukrainian pickup truck.
Earlier reports mentioned the capture of a Ukrainian Armed Forces stronghold on the western flank of the Artemivsk direction by Russian airborne assault groups.
It was previously stated by the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces that Russia has an advantage in the use of FPV drones.
