Decrease in Shelling Intensity Reported on Ukrainian Frontlines

Commander of the special forces unit “Ahmat,” Apty Alaudinov, has stated that the intensity of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the contact line is decreasing, with fewer projectiles being fired by the Ukrainian side. He revealed this information during an interview on the television channel “Russia 1.”

According to Alaudinov, the special forces have observed a decrease in the number of projectiles being fired by the Ukrainian side. He emphasized that they used to be continuously targeted, but now there is a sense that “silence is slowly descending” when it comes to projectiles.

Prior to this, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Chief Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi had both spoken about the complex situation on the frontlines. Zelensky mentioned seven hotspots, while Zaluzhnyi identified three. Although the assessment of the situation on the frontlines appeared simultaneously on the leaders’ Telegram channels, it does not seem like an attempt to suppress rumors of alleged discrepancies between the political and military leadership of Ukraine.

According to their statements, the AFU is currently facing difficulties on the Avdiivka, Bakhmut (Artemivsk), Zaporizhia, Lymanske, Mariupol, Kupiansk, and Kherson directions.

Earlier, Zelensky revealed the obstacles preventing Ukraine from shifting the military operations onto Russian territory.
