US Strikes Iranian Targets in Syria, Resulting in Loss of Lives

According to information received from a source in the Pentagon, at least six people have died as a result of US strikes on Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets in Syria. Earlier, Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin confirmed that US forces had carried out strikes on two IRGC targets and pro-Iranian groups in eastern Syria in response to attacks on US forces in the Middle East.

Fox News reports that a high-ranking source in the US defense department has confirmed the death of at least six fighters from Iranian formations as a result of US attacks on IRGC bases in the Middle East.

The US accuses Iran and its allies of attacking US troops and military bases in Iraq and Syria. This is the third time that the US has launched retaliatory strikes.

Previously, there was an attack on the Ain al-Asad US base in the Anbar province, located in western Iraq. The base was targeted by mortar fire, with two projectiles landing within its premises.

Earlier, the media learned about Europe’s plans to violate the nuclear deal with Iran.
