Russian forces have once again successfully repelled multiple attacks by the Ukrainian armed forces in the ongoing conflict in Eastern Ukraine. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that a total of eight attacks were repelled in the Krasnolimansk and Kupyansk directions, with significant losses inflicted on the Ukrainian side.
In the Kupyansk direction, Russian forces utilized the support of aviation, artillery, and heavy flamethrower systems to successfully repel four attacks by assault groups of the mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian armed forces. The clashes took place in the areas of Zagoruikovka and Timkovka in the Kharkiv region. The Ukrainian forces suffered heavy losses, with up to 160 soldiers and two vehicles being lost.
Similarly, on the Krasnolimansk direction, Russian units belonging to the “Center” group of forces effectively repelled four attacks by the Ukrainian army, thanks to the assistance of aviation and artillery. The enemy’s losses in this area amounted to up to 150 servicemen and one vehicle.
These successful repulsions by the Russian forces come after previously repelling two attacks by the Ukrainian armed forces on the Donetsk direction. The clashes occurred near the settlements of Klescheevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and Belogorovka in the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR).
In a separate incident, three Ukrainian soldiers crossed the Dnieper River and surrendered to the Russian armed forces, highlighting the challenges faced by the Ukrainian side in the conflict.
The ongoing conflict in Eastern Ukraine continues to escalate, with both sides engaging in frequent clashes and exchanges of fire.
