US National Security Advisor Refuses to Comment on Israel’s Conduct in War

US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has declined to answer questions about whether Israel is adhering to the rules of war. This development comes as tensions continue to escalate between Israel and Hamas.

When asked if the Israeli government is acting within the parameters of warfare regulations, Sullivan responded, “I’m not going to sit here and play judge or jury.” The lack of further clarification or assessment from Washington has raised concerns about the US stance on the ongoing conflict.

Recently, Pope Francis called for an end to the conflict between Israel and Hamas, emphasizing the need for humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip. The Pontiff also advocated for the release of all hostages held in the region.

Furthermore, Al Jazeera has reported that the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is engaged in negotiations for a temporary ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to destroy Hamas, further intensifying the situation in the region.
