Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov of the Belgorod region has reported in his Telegram channel that the Russian air defense system successfully intercepted a drone aircraft over the village of Blizhneye.
Gladkov noted that the authorities are currently gathering information about any potential consequences on the ground. However, preliminary reports indicate that there have been no casualties or damage.
This incident comes after Gladkov previously announced on November 11th that the city of Valuyki had come under fire from Ukraine. He stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had launched over 200 projectiles at the village of Stary in the Volokonovsky district of the Belgorod region and that six Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) had been shot down.
On the same day, the Telegram channel Shot reported that a Ukrainian reconnaissance and sabotage group (RSG) consisting of five individuals had unsuccessfully attempted to infiltrate the territory of the Belgorod region.
Earlier, a soldier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces expressed his lack of understanding regarding the reasons behind the conflict in Ukraine.
