President Biden Determined to Restore Military Relations with China

President Joe Biden is resolute in his efforts to restore military relations between the United States and China, according to Jake Sullivan, the US National Security Advisor. In an interview with CBS, Sullivan commented on the upcoming meeting between Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping on November 15th at the APEC summit in San Francisco. He stated that he did not want to speculate on the announcements that the US leader may make following the meeting.

“But I will say that the President is determined to restore military relations,” Sullivan said, as reported by TASS.

Biden believes that this is in the best interest of national security for the United States, added Sullivan. National security is a top priority for the US President.

The White House representative explained that Biden views military communication as necessary to prevent competition between Washington and Beijing from escalating into a conflict.

It has recently been revealed that a dinner with Chinese President Xi Jinping will take place in California, attended by his “old friends.” According to Bloomberg, these individuals first met the future Chinese leader 38 years ago when he visited the United States as the head of a food industry delegation from Hebei province.

Earlier in China, it was revealed how Ukraine had put Biden in a difficult position ahead of his meeting with Xi Jinping.
