Russian Forces Neutralize Ukrainian Drone Attack in Orlovskaya Oblast

Governor Andrey Klychkov of Orlovskaya Oblast has announced that the Russian Electronic Warfare (REW) has successfully neutralized a Ukrainian drone on the territory of the Livenksy District. The official made the announcement on his Telegram channel.

“The incident site has been cordoned off to ensure the safety of the population and to allow law enforcement agencies to take necessary measures. The situation is under control, and there have been no casualties,” the official stated.

The specific type of drone involved in the incident has not been specified.

On September 21, Klychkov reported that two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) attempting to attack the fuel and energy complex in Orlovskaya Oblast were neutralized. It was later revealed that the drone targeting the “Druzhba” oil depot in Orlovskaya Oblast was carrying 10 kg of explosives with shrapnel. However, the UAV did not detonate. The second drone that exploded was a homemade model.

On the night of September 21, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that Ukraine had attempted to attack Russian territory using UAVs. As a result of the air defense operation carried out over the Black Sea and Crimea, 19 Ukrainian drones were destroyed. Additionally, one UAV was shot down over the territories of Kursk, Belgorod, and Orlovskaya Oblasts.

Earlier, Russian engineers presented the “Stepashka” anti-drone rifle.
