Russia Introduces New Parachute System ‘Yunker-DG-250’ with GLONASS Navigation

After successful state trials, the latest cargo parachute system “Yunker-DG-250” with automatic control and GLONASS navigation system has started to be delivered to the military. This was announced by Rostec, as reported by TASS.

Representatives of Rostec confirmed that the “Yunker” has successfully passed the tests and is already being supplied to the armed forces.

Furthermore, it is noted that the state corporation is working on the development of a parachute system variant capable of carrying cargo with a total flight mass of up to 500 kg.

At the MILEX-2021 exhibition, the Russian Military-Industrial Complex presented new parachutes and ammunition. “Technodinamika Holding, a subsidiary of Rostec, will demonstrate special-purpose parachute systems, as well as next-generation artillery ammunition at the international arms exhibition ‘MILEX-2021,’ which will take place from June 23 to June 26 in the city of Minsk,” the holding’s press service said.
