Power Outages in Southern Ukraine Leave Hundreds of Towns Without Electricity

In southern Ukraine, power transmission lines (PTLs) and two wind power stations have been temporarily disabled, leaving over 400 settlements without electricity. This announcement was made by the country’s Ministry of Energy in a statement on their Telegram channel.

“The power transmission line in the southern region has been disabled, and two wind power stations have also been disconnected,” the statement said.

The energy agency clarified that their operations have already been restored.

According to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, more than 1,300 residents in the Kirovohrad and Mykolaiv regions of the country are without electricity. Parts of the population in the Sumy, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv regions of the republic are also affected.

According to the national energy company “Ukrenergo,” a total of 419 settlements are currently without power.

Previously, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported damage to gas distribution networks in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Earlier, it was announced that the gas infrastructure in two regions of Ukraine had been damaged.
