Amanda Sloat, the top advisor to President Joe Biden on European affairs, has made the decision to resign. This news comes from Politico, citing the official herself.
Sloat has been working with Joe Biden’s team since the beginning of his presidency, overseeing the restoration of relations with European allies of the United States and the establishment of a “united front” against Russia with the start of the special military operation in Ukraine.
“It has been an amazing three years, but it’s time. I’m tired,” Sloat stated.
Sloat accompanied Biden on eight trips to Europe, including five NATO summits and two European Union summits.
Prior to this, President Joe Biden struggled to put on a gifted t-shirt by himself.
Earlier, the US Secretary of State stated that Russia and China currently pose the “most acute threat to the global order” on the planet.
