Russia’s Weapons Production Soars, Signaling Heightened Defense Capabilities

During a visit to the Alabino training ground and a meeting with the servicemen of the 337th Airborne Assault Regiment of the 104th Guards Airborne Assault Division, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev stated that the production of weapons, military equipment, and offensive capabilities in Russia has significantly increased. A video report of his visit was published on Medvedev’s VKontakte page.

Medvedev emphasized that the opponents of Russia cannot ignore this significant growth in defense capabilities. He further highlighted that within just one year, Russia’s defense industry complex has seen a tremendous improvement, reaching unprecedented levels since the end of the Great Patriotic War.

Surprisingly, this progress occurred even faster than Medvedev had anticipated.

On September 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that this year, the enterprises of the Russian defense industry complex not only maintained stable production rates but also significantly increased the output of certain products. He made this statement during the first special session of the Military-Industrial Commission in Izhevsk.

The head of state also stressed the need to expand the production of counter-battery and air defense systems. He revealed that he had given instructions to update the delivery schedule for the corresponding equipment by 2024.

Previously, Putin had shared his vision for the future of the Russian military.
