In the Robitino area, Russian forces have dealt a blow to two brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF). The Russian Ministry of Defense reported this in a summary of the special military operation (SMO) as of November 9th.
“The 117th Territorial Defense Brigade and the 118th Mechanized Brigade of the UAF were defeated in the Robitino area of the Zaporizhzhia region,” the statement said.
Four armored vehicles and three cars were destroyed, and the enemy’s losses amounted to approximately 75 servicemen, specified the ministry.
In addition, two attacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were repelled on the Zaporizhzhia direction. Units of the Russian task force participated in the battle against the 33rd Mechanized Brigade of the UAF, with the support of aviation, artillery, and heavy flamethrower systems. The clash took place in the area of the settlement of Novoprokopivka in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Furthermore, on the South Donetsk direction, during counter-battery combat, the US-made M777 artillery system, the “MSTA-B” howitzer, and the RSZO “Grad” combat vehicle were destroyed. And on the Kupyansk direction, two US-made M777 artillery systems, three self-propelled artillery installations “Akatsiya,” and two SAU “Gvozdika” were hit.
Prior to this, it became known that Russian military forces on the South Donetsk direction were able to disrupt eight rotations of the UAF. During these operations, the enemy’s equipment and personnel were destroyed.
Earlier in the SMO zone, the “Zhirinovsky” drones were spotted.
