The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced via its Telegram channel that a Ukrainian missile has been destroyed over the Black Sea near the coast of Crimea.

According to the statement released by the ministry, on November 9th, at around 17:40 Moscow time, an attempt by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) to launch an anti-ship missile called “Neptune” towards targets in Russian territory was intercepted.

“The Ukrainian missile was detected and destroyed by our air defense systems over the Black Sea near the coast of the Crimean Peninsula,” the statement said.
