Decreased Activity of Ukrainian Forces on Zaporizhzhia Front, Russian Aviation Becomes More Active

The activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Zaporizhzhia front has decreased, according to a drone operator from the OBTF “Kaskad” with the call sign “Shum,” as reported by RIA Novosti.

“In the past couple of weeks, the activity has decreased. They mainly use cluster munitions from artillery, and they try not to engage in large-scale attacks,” he said.

The fighter noted that there are not as many drones on the enemy’s side as there were in the late summer. Additionally, in his opinion, the Russian aviation has become more active.

In turn, the head of the region, Yevhen Balitsky, believes that the Ukrainian troops have become exhausted. It is noted that the tactics of small-group actions have allowed for some progress, but it is too early to speak of success.

Meanwhile, as noted by RIA Novosti, the situation on the eastern flank is different. The AFU have cut off the Vremevsky bulge, occupied several villages, and moved eastward, but they encountered fierce resistance from the Russian military.

It became known yesterday that units of the Russian troop grouping repelled three attacks by assault groups of the 33rd, 65th, and 118th mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Zaporizhzhia front.

Earlier, the US acknowledged the failure of the AFU’s counteroffensive.
