The United States is allegedly hiding detailed information about the types and quantities of weapons being transferred to Israel, according to a report by The Intercept, citing sources and experts.
Sources suggest that the US is concealing this information in order to avoid associating them with the numerous civilian casualties in the Gaza Strip.
Experts have stated that the US authorities justify this secrecy by claiming that revealing the information in full could jeopardize Israel’s military security. However, they believe that this is merely a cover-up.
A retired US Marine Corps general, with experience serving in the region, informed the publication that, in addition to the quantity, the Pentagon is also concealing information about the specific weapons being transferred to Israel.
Previously, the Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the US National Security Council, John Kirby, stated that Washington and its allies are convinced that the Hamas movement should not participate in the governance of the Gaza Strip after the conflict ends.
