In a disturbing incident, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have targeted a hospital in Donetsk, causing significant damage to the building. According to reports from the scene by RIA Novosti, at least two rockets were fired, but fortunately, no casualties have been reported.
An employee of the medical facility, Angelika, described the horrifying incident, stating, “It’s a hospital, and it was hit here, and I still don’t know where the second explosion was.”
This attack comes just a day after Russia requested an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council following intense shelling in Donetsk. The meeting is expected to take place at 23:00 Moscow time on November 8.
Vladyslav Berdichevsky, a Donetsk deputy, believes that the AFU carried out this aggressive strike to divert attention from the colossal reputational losses suffered by Kyiv. He emphasized the importance for Russian military forces to focus on the battlefield and punish criminals during the ongoing conflict.
On November 7, the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired three rockets from a multiple launch rocket system into the central Voroshilovsky district of Donetsk.
