In a recent development, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Russian air defense forces successfully shot down five Ukrainian military aircraft within a span of 24 hours. These incidents have taken place amidst the ongoing conflict between the two countries.
The first incident occurred near the village of Kamianka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, where a Russian Su-27 fighter jet was downed. Additionally, two MiG-29 jets were shot down in the vicinity of Preobrazhenka in the Donetsk People’s Republic and the city of Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
Furthermore, two Su-25 attack aircraft were targeted and destroyed near Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast and the village of Tokarevka in the Kherson Oblast.
Adding to the escalation, it was also reported on November 8th that three Ukrainian missiles were intercepted and destroyed by Russian air defense systems over the Henichesk district in the Kherson Oblast.
Earlier in November, the Russian Ministry of Defense revealed that a Ukrainian Air Force Su-27 aircraft had been successfully targeted at the Myrhorod airfield in the Poltava Oblast. Additionally, the “Bukovel” radio-electronic warfare station was destroyed in the Yantarny district of the Kherson Oblast.
These incidents have raised concerns about Russia’s advantage in the use of FPV drones, as the Ukrainian Armed Forces commander had previously stated.
