Thousands of Gaza Residents Evacuated through Humanitarian Corridor

Thousands of residents in Gaza have embarked on a journey from the north to the south of the enclave through a humanitarian corridor opened by the Israeli army. The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) office of the Israeli government shared this information on their social media platform.

The publication highlights that “thousands of people are passing through the humanitarian corridor, which the IDF opened for the movement of civilians from the north of Gaza to the south.”

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) urge residents of the enclave daily to relocate from the northern areas to the southern regions along the border with Egypt in order to avoid bombardments. In recent days, an evacuation corridor has been established along the Salah ad-Din road.

Previously, it was reported that the evacuation of injured Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to Egypt through the Rafah crossing point had resumed. It was noted that nine injured individuals have already been transferred from the Gaza Strip to Egyptian hospitals.

Earlier, Hamas accused Israel of violating agreements regarding the evacuation of foreigners from Gaza.
